My Little Daredevil

CURRENTLY IN MY WORLD

Music::::being subjected to Kyuss
Movie:::The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada - Directed by Tommy Lee Jones and written by Guillermo Arriaga(who I love for his portmanteu style of film writing). Tommy Lee Jones plays a ranch hand who is trying to fulfill his promise to his dead friend that he would take his body home to Mexico if he were to die.Interesting plot and surprisingly humorous moments at odd times that you catch yourself thinking “That’s really not funny…yet it IS!”) (at one point, Bob asked,”Are we supposed to be laughing? )
“TV”:::::Nothing. Oh,wait..yes! I watched Pirate Master. Survivor on a Pirate Ship. Overacted and dramatized(IMO) but still fun nonetheless
Reading::::::I’m still reading the book about how horrible contracting the war out is
Making::::: A purse
Wanting:::::hmmm…nothing much
Today’s Hero/ine::::Mildred and Richard Loving
Today’s Website:Wired Berries
FYI:::::2 year olds are Satan in a Cute Kid Suit. I know I’ve said this before…I’m just reasserting my opinion on the subject

This morning I woke up minus a child. Amazingly ,it wasn’t the 2 year old I was missing. That kid….

Do I have gray hairs this morning? I should.This weekend, he tried to “skateboard” on a toy truck and nearly knocked himself unconscious.He also swallowed a marble. Those were two highlights of my weekend experiences with Dmitri.

Anyway, no…he wasn’t missing…it was Maia.

Bob went to a doctor’s appointment early this morning and took Maia along. I knew he was taking her so it wasn’t a surprise but it’s still weird to wake up in a house minus her.Maia has never spent the night away from home and she’s always the first one up in the morning.

Today Bob finds out from the doctor whether or not he can go back to work. He’s been out of work since March now. It’s been rough …but we’ve been through worse.

I’ve spent the past week or so trying to find a good balance in our household…only to realize that the organizational chaos has to be fixed first to make any sort of routine work. I read one day recently that the average person spends 45 minutes everyday of their life searching for things they’ve misplaced or lost (little things like the remote control and keys are the big culprits). Well, I think I spend much more than 45 minutes out of everday wasted on searching for things.

My goal,though…after I find some sanity in the chaos….is to find some sort of flexible and fluid routine that enables me to get a nice productive chunk of time everyday for working on the craft end of the business and a smaller chunk for the business end of the business….while managing a household with kids being homeschooled….and so that each child gets some individual time….AND that the regular household chores get accomplished.

Oh..and so that I get some quality time for me in there too….and that WE get some time as a couple (which doesn’t happen very often and needs to change)

I also feel that I’m obliged to making the local Code Pink group work and become active so that’s also being factored into the formula.

It’s no small task but ooh, I love a challenge. Bring it on.

And at the moment, I need to cut this short and go. Dmitri is trying to skateboard again…..
